Making the world a better place.

Schuller Stable is a family owned, family operated, not-for-profit facility that has been in operation and self-sustaining for over five years.

In the beginning we were solely a not-for-profit horse rescue. Our goals were to rescue, rehabilitate, and retrain unwanted horses. We realized early on that the only way to truly save the horse was to retrain people so they could have safe effective interactions with their equine partners.

Our Philosophy

At Schuller Stable we use the Downunder Horsemanship method. A natural horsemanship method that involves looking at the horse-human relationship from the horse’s point of view.

What we like to share is how to create a more positive relationship with a horse by using an understanding of the prey-predator relationship and compassion, as opposed to force and intimidation.

“As a society we can learn much from the clear simplicity of this notion.”

— Robert Redford

Today

We witness first hand how our clients become better people, stronger, happier, more confident, able to face life’s trials, and heal broken relationships all because of a little time with a horse.

& Tomorrow

Through our journey to educate the public, we see first hand the power of the horse to heal not only the wounds that we carry around with us but also the wounds yet to come.

“I would like to express my appreciation to you for working with my daughter. After the first two-hour session with her I can already see a change in her riding, confidence, and anxiety levels. On the ride home, she didn’t stop talking about her experience. Once again, thank you. Please keep up your amazing gift from God to work with children and adults with special needs.” – Deb
